Initially our garden needs a cut back and tidy up - trim hedges, cut back over growth, weed, tidy up leaves. I have been doing the lawn and whipper snipping and general tidy up, we had a big cut back a few months back but the garden is growing too quickly for us to keep up. Its not big (small garden front and rear, with hedges / bushes on each side), but its mature and grows quickly. Once on top of inital tidy up, we would probably need a couple of hours each month to keep on top of it. Top of hedge requires trimming 1.50-2.0m off the top. The hedge is 40m in length. This will require a heavy duty saw in parts where the branches are thicker than 50mm. Hedge must be kept level.
