Please see pictures for reference. My trailer tailgate has snapped off, I believe there has been some rust and unusual stress loads at times on these points. It was also welded onto a thin piece of metal so was never really structurally sound. What I would like done is to have around 20-30cm of solid steel welded into the existing square box steel cross member. You would need to cut out a section in the exisiting box steel to insert and weld in. The hinges then need to be welded back onto the frame with the reinforced steel area in place. I believe it’s just some tack welds needed but whatever you recommend. I’m happy to travel to workshops to get this done as I understand mobile welders would probably cost more than me coming to you. I need a safety chain welded onto my box trailer. I also require 2 new bolts welded on the back to hold the tail gate up. There are already 2 bolts there but just need them replaced. (I will supply the bolts and chain). I will also need for you to weld on a brace and a bolt for the spare tyre in the middle of the front triangular (between the coupling and the box part of the trailer). I need someone to dig out the base of an old gate post, sink and concrete in the new post and to then hang a new gate (H=120cm, W=100cm). *UPDATE* - I have most of the materials (gate, hinges, spring, latch and concrete), but am having difficulty sourcing the gate post (100mm by 100mm) so this will need to be sourced and supplied by whomever takes on the task. I have included photos of the material I already possess as well as the gate itself and the area where it will need to be installed.
