We have a brick letterbox. The metal flap has snapped in half and the hinge pin stuck in the hinge on the letterbox. We need someone to provide a solution that adds a very strong lockable letterbox cover. I’m thinking a solution would be to build out a metal frame around the existing flap hinge (as I don’t think we can remove it) and then add a new metal flap and attach it to the sturdy metal frame.
