Use water resistant wall framing to minimise the chance of mould or damage. 9. Paint existing pine frame cavity walls to assist in future cleaning and prevent mould growth. 10. Use water resistant grout and apply water resistant sealant when tiling or re-tiling wet areas. 11. Install a removable panel or replace the built-in bathtub with a freestanding bathtub or a shower. 12. Replace non-water-resistant cabinetry with water resistant cabinetry.
