We are installing solar on our carport and the solar installers said the beam is too far from the edges and needs to be a bit closer. We want to install a whole new beam that runs the whole length of the carport and we also need to move the existing beam (as seen in picture) so that both beams are equally spaced from each other, the edge of the roof and the ridge of the roof.
