We have some sections of our pine log retaining wall that have dislodged after seasons of drought and heavy rain. We’re looking for a short-term fix to restore these sections – adjusting existing logs/poles back into place, or using new 100mm logs where existing ones are too damaged/weathered. We can cover the cost of any new logs.

I have gave the ceiling a coat of zinsser stain killer primer and I need cornices done with same stuff and cut in around man hole and lights in same primer, I run out and just a few patches need rolled over that are a little light, then I have a paint to paint ceiling after primer is applied for cornices and ceiling the area is a double garage size

Over the last few years we’ve noticed some issues in our house getting progressively worse – some dips in flooring, some cracks above doors, some nails appearing through carpet. We’ve had structural engineers and carpenters do a quick review under the house, only to determine everything is “fine”. (I can confirm that there are no gaps between the stumps/piers and bearers.) I would accept this if it wasn’t for one other issue we’re dealing with: loud cracking, popping sounds emanating from walls whenever we walk around the house. This started as something subtle and is now at the point that it is making the house almost unliveable – especially at night, one can’t walk around the house if someone else is asleep because the whole house makes a loud cracking sound. I desperately need to figure out what’s going on – because something clearly is. The price for this task isn’t necessarily to remediate everything, because that depends on what the issue actually is. The price is to get an accurate diagnosis with a proven/tested solution (eg. we determine that there is some sinking and try jacking up the subfloor in one area, which is then proven to solve the issue.) - Due date: Flexible
