*****UPDATED WITH DESCRIPTIONS & PHOTOS***** Hello, we're looking for a trusted & reliable handyperson to take care of a number of bits & pieces we don't have time to do, now & ongoing. The list as it stands currently is: 1. Repair & recoat wooden back door: Has been reglazed following a break in. Door size 2040 x 820 x 35. Bottom frame bead needs repairing / replacing. Bottom of door has water damage as when it was installed it was cut too small & then the offcut strip was stuck back on. Am guessing it needs drying out, any loose wood / laminate removed, then filled, sealed & repainted (whole door, both sides). I realise it won’t look perfect but mainly need to make sure it won’t get any worse. Would also be good to sika around the window to stop water getting in between the glass & the bead. 2. Recoat base of monkey bar wooden uprights (to about 500mm) with in ground timber protector (I already have this) 3. Extend washing machine hoses, cut hole in side of cupboard unit for power cable, install tumble dryer drain hose: Tumble dryer & washing machine need to swap positions compared to what’s shown in the photo. So washing machine hose will need to be extended to reach sink. There is a power point inside the cupboard to the left so a hole is needed in the side of the unit to reach it. Tumble dryer power & drain line can be routed through existing hole in side of sink unit. 4. Build simple deck as base for shed, assemble shed (3mx1.5m): Location is over a sewer manhole so we can’t put down a slab. My idea is to build a basic wooden deck on 4 or 6 posts, level with the existing surrounding ground level. The area is 2.5 x 3.5 x 2 x 3.3, and the shed is the Gable Slider Garden Shed 3.00m (w) x 1.50m (d) x 2.10m (h) from easyshed.com.au. The 2 existing slabs nearest the fence will also need reinstating as the supporting bricks are missing. Any other ideas for a base for the shed which will work over the manhole are welcome. 5. Trim & coat cut ends of 2x timber posts: Posts are 85x85 & need a clean square cut level with the horizontals (already have the oil for coating). 6. Repaint kitchen window sill: Measures 180 x 90. Paint is breaking down, needs sanding back & repainting with something that will stand up better to the water. 7. Fill & paint various minor holes in wall where previous fittings have been removed (internal gyprock walls). Photos attached. 9 locations, 8 in painted gyprock wall, one in tiled wall. 8. Trips to Bunnings etc. to get materials as required If you're interested in this work, in your offer please met know the following: - Relevant experience / skills for all of these tasks - Approx estimate of how long this will take and hourly rate, understanding that this will not be a fixed price job, but based on an agreed best estimate which can then be revised up or down by agreement as things progress. - Any additional info required to be able to make your estimate. Notes: - Airtasker due by date is not the date by which I need all of this done, but the date by which I'd like to have someone locked in & started. - Estimate only needs to be for labour, materials will be separate & worked out once the job starts. - Any other questions please shout.
Rhys is a highly skilled professional, honest & trustworthy, a great communicator, and an all round nice bloke who is very easy to work with and a pleasure to have around. Definately 5 stars and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
