Hey team, Need a professional flooring company to aid me in ripping up carpet in a newly purchased house and polish the hardwood floorboards beneath. There is also some sort of vinyl in the back half of the house which I’d like to do the same for. Beyond the kitchen I plan to tile and make this a laundry / bathroom so nothing needs to be done there. I know it would be hard to quote without seeing the property in person, settlement date is on the 13th of December so post that can walk people through. Just looking for some indicative offers / quotes at the moment based on pictures. I’ve had a nice cheap quote for floating floors at $2000-$2500, but would much prefer to bring the old home to life. We've just removed the carpet from my room, revealing hardwood floorboards underneath. The tack has already been removed, but we need them polished and restored. The room is about 5.0M by 3.5M, and I'd appreciate someone with experience in restoring floorboards. I have attached images of the unpolished floorboards (with the carpet insulation left on top in the middle), as well as an image of the polished floorboards in the rest of the house for context). Kitchen island was removed, now need matching hard wood floor sourced and installed with existing impacted (cut) boards removed. The impacted area is circa 1.2m by 0.5m, but surrounding boards need to be replaced.

We have a hardwood floor which is nailed to an underfloor system made up of f5 pine 70×35 studs, fixed to concrete slab. We have around 5 points on the floor where the boards are squeaking and we need them repaired so the squeak is gone. We will only hire someone who has experience with this specific work before.

Replace carpet in three small bedrooms upstairs in our recently rennovated house. We have solid timber blackbutt (14mm x 85mm) to install, sand and polish. Approx room sizes are: Room 1: 2.9m x 2.6m Room 2: 4m x 3.6 m Room 3: 3.2 x 1.9 Hoping to start this project in the next couple of weeks. Boards to be laid over chipboard. all rooms are square and dont have heaters or fireplaces etc. The job should include removal of skirting boards and replace them so floors are flush with skirting boards.
