HQ Holden with WB Holden tail lights. Fitting a replacement tail light backing and new lenses but can not find an exact earth point to make lights (parker, brake, indicator and reverse) to work like they should. They still light up but only with test light attached in some way.

2013 Holden Captiva 7 (Auto, petrol). I brought my car to a local mechanic after hearing a weird "clapping" sound coming from the front of the car/engine. He told me the engine is completely wasted (or about to at least), something with the pistons firing/breaking (unsure exactly, my knowledge is limited). He said there's no point in trying to repair or replace the engine for this car. And that I shouldn't drive it anymore as it can break any minute, leave a huge oil spill and even be dangerous with the pistons shooting out (at the passenger). I'm hoping to get a second opinion/inspection on whether this is correct. If repairing or replacing the engine I'm also open to exploring that as I do love the car and it actually only has 120K km. Let me know if you need any additional info. Unsure about what the budget needs to be, and of course, if we move to repair I understand it will be more expansive than just getting an inspection.

Remove standard wheels and tyres and replace with alloy mag wheels I have jacks you will need to bring a wheel brace or rattle gun..... there's a compressor on site if needed

My car bonnet has been producing a little smoke and occasionally smells a bit like burning plastic. I suspect it could be an oil issue because the car temperature is fine. Have a Holden Captiva 2015, about 180,000km. Car was running ok, wanted to replace one of the Glow plugs. Removed the injector fuel lines to get to the glow plug, couldn’t get some bolts out, decided to put back everything. Started the car it ran on idle for few minutes then stalled. Fuel leak on the injectors lines, tightened the lines. But car won’t start. Tried priming with the switch on, but nothing Either air lock in the fuel system or low fuel pressure or could be something else But car was running smoothly before I removed the lines
