I'm experiencing an issue with the hot water tap in my kitchen sink. Despite the tap being turned off, hot water continues to flow. I'm looking for a skilled plumber or handyman to: Fix the problem so that the tap no longer leaks. Assess whether the tap needs to be replaced and provide advice accordingly. Details: The tap is a standard kitchen sink mixer water tap. The issue started recently and seems to be persistent. I need this job done as soon as possible. Fix gas hot water heater that is igniting but not staying lit.

Water is coming out of the tank of the hot water system (at the front near the base behind the cover for the wiring). We need an opinion on whether this is fixable and if so, we'd like it fixed. We've budgeted $100 to get this assessed and an extra $100 for the repair if it is repairable relatively easily.
