Scrape walls, patch if required to celings and walls : Smooth out the patched areas (from previous downlight installation and patchwork) to ensure all the surfaces are completely smooth. 2. Apply masking tape: Once scraping/ patch work is completed, apply masking tape throughout the house (4 bedrooms) to prep for painting. Details: The walls and ceilings need to be fully prepped for painting. Estimated time: Approximately 4 hours for scraping and cleaning, and 4 hours for masking tape application. This is a 1-day job, so I’m looking for someone who can complete it efficiently and leave the space clean and tidy upon completion. Requirements: I can provide with tools, such as sandpaper, plastic sheets to cover furniture, and masking tape. We might get the entire house painted after i get the skirtings fixed but wanted to know how much extra will it cost if you also paint the whole house including walls and ceiling , ceiling of peeling paint also need repair. Hi, just working on preparing our house for sale. We need help hanging doors, gyprock work, patching holes, preparing areas for painting etc. I am thinking, a few hours on the weekend, over a few weeks. I want to try and spread out the expense.
