Box up house contents and move into onsite storage box

$1,200

Carnegie VIC, Australia

2nd Dec 2022

I don't need professional movers, organisers, etc I need 2 hard working people for 3 days 10am to 3pm (5 hours per day) starting either Saturday the 10th Dec or Monday the 12th Dec depending on what suits you best (but both people must work together). Payment is $40 per hour, per person Plus coverage of the Airtasker fee. You must be - capable of carrying standard packing boxes * most importantly this is a very sensitive project, so it is very important that you can really listen, really understand the instructions and follow all directions. You do not have to understand the situation, but you need to be very respectful, as the person it affects most will be there. There is zero personal safety risk to anyone. You need to know that - The place is not clean, and has had a mouse or two and a prob a rat or two run through the place. No you will not need full on PPE or anything (face masks and rubber gloves will be provided), no you will not see any living things running around and apart from dirt and some rodent faeces you won't come across anything worse. - you must be capable of methodically going through a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom plus sunroom very cluttered house, boxing up like with like items, without breaking stuff. Labelling the boxes and carrying them to designated areas of the large storage box in the driveway. Most of the heavy furniture will stay in the house, it will just need to be moved away from the walls, when the house is otherwise empty. A few larger items of furniture, like a 3-seater couch etc, will need to be carried out to the nature-strip, neatly placed for a hard rubbish collection. You will be clearly instructed as to what gets thrown out etc. You must be on time every day and you must be a hard worker. You do not need any qualifications, but you seriously do need to have common sense. I apologise if my expression here is too sharp, but it really is very important that this is process and every job is done in the right way.

My huge thanks to both of you! These guys were such hard workers, pushed on until it was all done & such great human beings it was a pleasure to deal with them. They could do everything my very big task entailed; packing up a huge volume of stuff, cleaning the walls & ceilings, followed by a big clean of the house and they cleared out all the resulting rubbish. Ended up not needing to try & get different companies to do each part of this huge job
