We have recently renovated our home, including a new kitchen and the removal of walls to create an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Our lighting has been upgraded from oyster lights to down lights and the whole house has been freshly painted with consistent wall colour and flooring throughout. After completing all this work, we are now looking to hire an experienced interior designer to assist with the following in our open-plan living/kitchen/dining area and hallway: - Selecting the right furniture pieces - Choosing window dressing for windows, French door and security door - Selecting décor items such as rugs, artwork, soft furnishings - Understanding the appropriate scale and proportions for our space in relation to furniture selection - Advising on finishes that would best suite design for purchasing of kitchen whitegoods. Requirements: - Proven experience in interior design - Guidance on optimising furniture distribution throughout the open-plan area - Expertise in a homogeneous mix of Scandinavian/Hamptons/Coastal (we are currently drawn to these looks, but are open to suggestions) - Ensuring rhythm throughout the spaces to achieve a balanced, unified and harmonious feel - Ability to provide 2D & 3D renders - Creation of a design concept/mood board - Furniture layout/placement - Shopping list - In home consultation preferable, but open to online What we can provide you: - 2D & 3D floorplan built in HomeByMe software (a free website) that we can share directly with you - Pictures of existing space without furnishings - Walk through video of existing space - Information regarding all existing wall colours, materials and kitchen fittings and fixtures.
