My lawn mower has just failed to start. Upon starting the engine blew out a fair amount of white smoke and stoped operating. Known issues: - 1 of 3 blades below the mower has been cracked and broken, new blade required. - mower unable to turn off while operating be turning down the engine speed. (I think this has something to do with the cable tension / length from a previous repair) - petrol canister is loose, guessing this is simply new bolts that need to be attached (this is what may have been the cause of the mower failing to start, as this is a new issue I noticed before trying to start it) I don't have a means of transporting the mower, so will need to be collected unless it can be repaired on site. Also, I understand this is hard to quote without inspection. I've put up a low price, but obviously happy to pay parts + a fair commision for repair work after an inspection of what needs to be done. I’ve got a Masport lawn mower that I believe needs a look at. I’m not great with lawn mowers, my old housemate has left and i’ve been on lawn duties for the last 3 months. It was running like clockwork 2-3 weeks again but now when i start it, it’s sputtering and doesn’t sound at full power. I’ve checked the fuel and engine oil and that’s all fine. It may be the filters but I don’t know how to check that.
