Masport President 3 with 4 stroke Briggs & Stratton 190cc ready start. Was last serviced 18 months ago. Mower is not idling smoothly and loses power on longer grass Air filter (pleated paper by looks) was disgusting so I removed it but have not bought a new one to replace it yet. Ran the mower without the air filter (with and without the air filter cover) to see if idle improved but not much improvement. Have replaced the spark plug (was some corrosion) and cleaned the plug contact and taped up some holes in the flexible hose going to the air filter.
