I've recently moved to the Gold Coast and keen to improve my surfing. I used to surf occasionally back in the Philippines but I would like to get better and be more confident in the ocean here. I have a 9'4 board and am looking for a budding surf instructor who is budget-friendly and may also want to practice their teaching or looking to mentor someone —casual weekly or fortnightly sessions. I'm quite flexible with the arrangements.

Have been playing casually and self taught for years, but have massive holes in my ability as a result, and get impatient doing drills with myself due given that it’s much more fun to just play. Looking for private lessons every couple of weeks to help build the skill gaps and learn new techniques and songs at a level above what I’m able to self learn. Work full time so would preferably be looking for after 5pm hours, or weekend mornings. Depending on days etc, it would be convenient to sometimes have these lessons in my own home, whereas other days would prefer to be at a studio or nearby home or something. Preferably someone around my age (35) as I love a good yarn haha.
