Installing Linux on my Surface laptop, booted from USB, first step was okay (selected Graphical Install), second step (choose language) the keyboard just no response hence couldn't proceed. What I have done: 1. got Disk space on drive (C is for windows, D unallocated for Linux). 2. disabled Secure Boot. 3. Set USB Boot as primary boot (moved Windows Boot Manager to second in the order). Any support or help will be great.

I have tried using the Bottles app but it wont accept it, but I do not know about Bottles tweaks, Linux Terminal or Wine app. So it may be possible for someone clever. There is a program called signal guard now it stopped being upgraded from Android 10 or 11, I want it to work on newer androids, what I'm mainly interested in is the ability to lock on to a cell tower and stay locked until you release it, if you think about it you will understand why this could be helpful under hostile conditions...you could sell it to me or load It up to google store and get paid for your time and effort, I have tried for the last 2 years to track the original maker, but he does not respond, so show me your skill set and what you can come up with, there is another program that does have a lock option I'll find it and add it here, also a scan of other towers of other carriers would be helpful....

I have a Surface Pro 7 with Fedora Linux installed and have 3 issues that are beyond my technical skill to rectify. Update: The Windows install is still fine and does not need fixing, these points are for the Fedora install only, so I need some Linux help. 1) I underestimated the drive space needed for Linux when partitioning, and have filled up the home drive. I have since resized the disk to have an additional 5gb free to add to the home drive, but being able to edit the home drive partition is beyond my skills and confidence! I am unable to update the Fedora install until the extra space is added. 2) The Surface Pro kernel (and touchscreen) no longer work. Once I installed Fedora, I followed the guide here - https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface - to install the kernel. However, some time after the install, there were several patches for Fedora and/or Windows, which caused the kernel to break, and now I am required to use the generic/standard one for the system to boot.
