The privacy lock on our bathroom door has broken and won’t open. I can’t unscrew the handle from the outside. I have some spare parts for the lock so it may be fixable. But at the very least needs to be dismantled.

Manual garage lock repair

I have a manual tilt up, t-bar garage door. Building is a 70’s brick in Marrickville. The two issues I’m facing are not affecting the door opening and closing, but more so my ability to lock it. I can’t seem to get the t-bar to lock, and also there is a pad bolt on the bottom with a padlock on it from the previous owner and I don’t have a key, so would need this removed so I can put my own padlock on it. Would need a bolt cutter to remove the padlock shown in the image There is the t bar lock and the pad bolt on the side on the outside, and there are two pad bolts on the inside of the garage door. The outcome I’m trying to get to, is a way to lock up and secure my garage.
