What does a mechanic service usually include?

Minor service
This is the most basic engine service a mechanic provides, but it can make a huge difference in whether or not your car can operate efficiently. Roadworthy certificate or pink slip
A roadworthy certificate or pink slip is a specific vehicle check that’s conducted to ensure your car is in a roadworthy condition and can be operated safely. In some states, it’s required when selling a car or may be required each year to confirm your vehicle is safe for registration purposes. A mechanic will check off a list of predetermined items to verify that your car meets a minimum safety standard set out by your state government. I have a Ford AU wagon in my carport and I lost the key so I replaced the ignition barrel and have new keys, however the immobiliser has been triggered and I need a mechanic who has dealt with this issue before to get the car started for me. The new keys did not come with a chip so I would prefer to just be able to disengage the immobiliser completely as opposed to having to program the key to sync with the car, (if that is possible).
