I honestly walked to grab a coffee and it was all done - he changed my oil filter, air filter, went further to fix my headlight bulb and turn off my regular service lights. What does a mechanic service usually include?
Mechanics are skilled in nearly all aspects of keeping your car maintained, serviced, and repaired, so it’s roadworthy and efficient to run. The exact process during your service will depend on how your mechanic prefers to work and the type of tasks they’re doing, like:
Minor service
This is the most basic engine service a mechanic provides, but it can make a huge difference in whether or not your car can operate efficiently. A roadworthy certificate or pink slip is a specific vehicle check that’s conducted to ensure your car is in a roadworthy condition and can be operated safely. In some states, it’s required when selling a car or may be required each year to confirm your vehicle is safe for registration purposes. A mechanic will check off a list of predetermined items to verify that your car meets a minimum safety standard set out by your state government. 2008 Subaru Forester rego CJB76W. My aircon gas has leaked out. Believe it's the Orings on the compressor suction or discharge line. There's a fair bit of refrigerant oil residue after it let go. I have a OEM compressor to be installed as well. The old one was becoming noisy so I thought I'd get a new one. Need compressor replacement (part supplied), oring replacement, leak test, vacuum and regas. Need a new belt as the OEM ones are stretch fit.
Came perfectly on time. Knowledgeable and did everything that was requested. Was really friendly and explained everything he did. Thank you.
