I am looking for a piano tutor, someone who is technically good, but also can teach an intermediate adult player (I achieved Grade 8 AMEB grade 25 years ago). My repertoire I need assistance with is Beethoven, Chopin and other classical composers. My 11 year old is keen to learn the guitar. But he doesn't want to do the boring stuff the do at the lessons in school. He wants someone to teach him the basics but then let him learn to play the songs he likes to listen to. He has done piano before and flute so has a basic understanding of music, but has never picked up a guitar before. I'd be after weekly lessons for 1 hour. can be any day but after school.
