We have two beautiful active boys, aged 6 years and 9 years old. They love fun, playing, sport, reading and friends. We are two busy professional parents who encourage outside activity, fun and playfulness, compassion and good manners. We are looking for a reliable and competent nanny with experience looking after primary school aged children. Reliability, competence and genuine enjoyment with children are the necessary requirements. We need someone who can commit to at least a year and can work full days during the school holidays (dates provided well in advance). Given the nature of our professions we cannot have anyone who needs time off for pracs etc at uni. Please only apply if you are prepared to commit to the role. For that reason it may be that the role would suit an older person who is not seeking to fit in studies. We need someone who can come by 7.30am and get the boys ready for school, including making school lunches and tidying away the breakfast things, and take them to school at 8.30am (so a safe and experienced driver only please), and stay to do some reading or writing with the youngest one for 5 - 10 minutes. Then return to school to pick them up by 2.55pm. The afternoon will either have some after school activities that requires some driving around (swimming lessons or guitar etc), or home for afternoon tea and a play before getting ready for dinner. We discourage screen time and want someone who genuinely enjoys playing and interacting with children and who will play with them when the other child is occupied with after school activities. The nanny will need to be able to supervise homework for the older one, and do some reading or sight words with the younger one, before preparing dinner. The afternoon finishes by 6pm at the latest, usually a bit earlier. Some light housekeeping is required - making lunches and a tidy away of breakfast things in the morning, take the clothes in off the line in the afternoon, and making dinner.
