Oil and Filter Assessment
Upon arriving, your mechanic will first inspect your vehicle before draining the old engine oil and replacing the filter. This process involves starting your car and warming up your motor oil. Then, they will lift your vehicle to locate the drain plug and place an oil pan underneath while draining out the old motor oil.
Oil and Filter Replacement
After draining out the old engine oil, your mechanic will proceed with removing the old filter using a wrench. Then, they will put a small amount of engine oil to the gasket to avoid leaks. Once they replace the oil filter with a new one, they will pour in the correct grade and amount of oil suited for your vehicle using a funnel to avoid leaks.
Final Inspection and Testing

I'm wondering if someone could please remove the oil filter for me? I have done this tens of times and it's never been like this before- only ever hand tightened it. I've put a couple holes in it already with a screwdriver trying to turn but unsuccessful. Worried if I mangle it more, it might not be able to be got off! All the oil's drained, so it'll just be spinning it off with a tool or trick. It's a small filter on a 4cyl petrol engine- Holden rodeo 1992.
