The front panel cover of my oven has the stainless steel front surface scratched and peeled away. It was from some wiping away of a baby safety lock glue with acid. I’ve tried all sorts of conservative measures like olive oil, toothpaste, etc and I’m not looking for any further advice about that. I wanted to have it formally polished or painted. The cooktop and oven are broken and need to be replaced. Both the old units are "plug and play" with 3-point plug into standard 10w power points. I have sourced replacements that are "plug and play" but both are different dimensions. The current oven cavity is 570mm wide x 590 high. It needs to be 580mm x 580mm for the new oven.
