What do pet transport services include?

Pet transport services include all the necessary activities to transport your pet safely, whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard or other animals. The service can include fetching your pet, making pit stops, sending you updates, and finally, getting your pet to its destination.

Picking up your pet

On the day and time of your scheduled pet transport service, your hired pet transporter can go to the address you specify and fetch your pet. Your specialist takes care to place your pet in their designated carrier, placing them securely in the vehicle. They also ensure that your pet has proper ventilation during the trip.

Making pit stops for your pet

If the trip is long or your pet has needs that must be taken care of, your pet transporter can make pit stops. As much as possible, your transporter will make these pit stops at safe locations along the way, such as convenience stores or petrol stations. They can check on your pet to ensure that they are comfortable in the vehicle and clean up any messes they left in the pet carrier.

Pet transporters can give your pet some snacks and water to ensure they stay sated and hydrated, allow them to relieve themselves; then your pet transporter cleans up afterwards. Some transporters can give them medications and allow them to stretch their legs for a bit if possible.

Sending pet updates

While at a pit stop, at a requested time or upon your request, your pet transporter can give you updates on your pet. Your hired pet transporter can send pictures, real-time video or a combination of both via a free messaging app of your choice. They can send updates only when it’s safe to do so - such as when the vehicle is at a full stop.

Dropping off your pet

Once your pet transporter has arrived at the destination, they can bring your beloved pet directly to you. They can take the pet to your front door, then turn over your pet to you or someone you specify in your service contract.

Pet transporters won’t leave your pet outside your door and insist that someone - you or a person you assign, to receive the pet. If you aren’t present to receive your pet, they can ask for the ID of the person you assign before they turn over your pet.Â
