What do Piano lessons include?
When you book piano lessons near you, expect personalised sessions consisting of step-by-step tutorials, repetitions, and practice exercises that can take your skills from beginner to intermediate level. If you’re already a confident player and planning to enter competitions, Taskers can provide you with private coaching to help you upskill and reach advanced expertise. Here are some local piano lessons you can book from our platform and what each includes:
Piano lessons for kids and toddlers
Learning piano doesn’t have to be demanding and punishing, especially for little ones. Most piano lessons for kids near you are made easy and educational, and at the same time, fun and exciting. Piano teachers may start with quick discussions and easy activities to improve their beat and rhythm. Then slowly, kids and toddies will be introduced to music notes and learn to play easy pieces by repetition. At the end of the course, they should be able to play simple songs, like the Alphabet or Happy Birthday song.
Apart from classical piano lessons, you can also enrol your child in other exciting classes that they can enjoy during the summer! Dance, sports, and swimming lessons, you can find all on the Airtasker platform.
Beginner piano lessons for adults
It is never too late to learn piano! But if you’re feeling a little intimidated to attend traditional piano classes, a piano tutor can hold piano lessons near you for adults. Your in-person lessons may involve introductory training and exercises, walking you through music theory fundamentals and playing the instrument. You can practice how to play with right and left hands, and eventually, with both hands. Besides learning how to play chords, piano lessons for beginners also involve learning how to read notes correctly and play songs by ear.
Jazz piano lessons
Playing jazz piano isn’t exactly easy, but the results can be so rewarding! For jazz piano lessons, expect to learn chords, rhythm, scales, and improvisation. All these are skills that beginner to advanced jazz pianists should know. If you don’t know anything about playing jazz, you can start from the very basic and gradually progress to more advanced pieces. There are practices to help you be more familiar with this music style. You can also learn a few tips and tricks from your music teacher to accelerate the entire process. This way, you can master this skill quicker, perhaps in just a few months and not in years!
Online piano lessons
Looking for the best online piano lessons? On Airtasker, you have optimum flexibility to set your schedule and decide on any location. Whether you need beginner tutorials, a refresher, or more advanced training, some Taskers can arrange live and interactive online lessons at your best convenience. They can also provide personalised recordings so you can practice playing even after your beginner lessons!

Piano lessons - Adult Beginner
$35
Clarkson WA, Australia
11th Aug 2022
Are there any piano teachers in the Clarkson area who are open to weekly or fortnightly hourly lessons with an adult beginner? These lessons would be for enjoyment and to learn something new. No exams or stringent grading so might suit a retired teacher? Lessons to include learning how to read music and all other disciplines of course, but looking for a teacher who encourages playing from the heart over than the head (thinking more Suzuki aligned than AMEB I assume?). Basically someone patient, gentle, and who has a passion for the joy of music rather than the perfectionism that made me stop when I was a child. I'd likely be doing weekly or fortnightly lessons and hoping for Thursday or Friday afternoons (if during weekdays because I work full time); more flexible during weekends. Can discuss days and times though. - Due date: Needs to be done on Thursday, 25 August 2022

Piano/keyboard beginner lessons for daughter
$60
Innaloo WA, Australia

Hi, I bought my daughter a keyboard for her birthday but I don’t know how to play anymore. She’s been teaching herself melodies using YouTube videos. I would like at least 2 x lessons to get her started properly. Flexible in terms of ongoing tutoring. Lessons would be a fortnight apart. Providing a couple print outs or an option to purchase a beginner manual (etc) for her to do in her own time too would be desirable. Thanks 🙏
Michelle is such a friendly and meticulous tutor. My daughter really enjoyed learning piano for the first time and we will continue to book her. Highly recommend ☺️

Looking for piano lessons. I know a few keys and done some lessons in the past but this is it. Currently learning how to produce music and mix, knowing the piano is a much required art I must fully understand. I am a hard worker, have alot of spare time due to my minimum work schedule FIFO and have a piano (keyboard) at work in the music room to practice. Currently don’t have a full size keyboard or piano hoping to discuss this first with the tutor. Thank you in advance.
