I have an old fireplace which had a gas space heater that I recently got removed. I have capped the gas and electricity connection (with help from an hvac tradie) as I no longer intend to use it as a fireplace. Need help with cleaning it and then plaster it from inside followed by a coat of paint. At the moment, just seeking quotes to know the costs involved.

Photos now added. Cornices cracking: dining room and kitchen. In bedroom about to break off. A competitive offer has come in. I'm a Senior, currently at home after major surgery. If anyone is willing to help me out, change their offer, to match this price, I would appreciate it. The damage was caused by housing construction across the road, but the builder refuses to take responsibility. So, it's coming out of my pocket. I make good hot coffee, or tea :-)

The plaster cornice above my cupboards simply fell off! Been in the house over 15 years now. The cornice is 2.4m long. It needs to be put back in place. The long piece has cracked in half - the two halves are still hanging on - but the split needs to be repaired. Yes, photos are attached!
