My pool gate isn’t compliant with the barrier standard. From the report: 1) Your pool gate does not comply with clause 2.11.3.3 (no gap greater than 10mm within 450mm of the latch). The gap between the gate pane and the adjacent pane is the issue. It is likely that this can be remedied by adjusting the position of the gate pane in the gate hinges to move the pane a few millimetres to close the gap to 10 mm or less. You may have to consult with an appropriately experienced pool fencing tradesman. 2) Your pool gate does not comply with clause 2.11.2 (it does not reliably close from every position in its full range of operation without application of manual force). Adjustment of gate closer tension is likely to be required. Failing this, a new closer or sprung hinges may be required. Lubrication may also assist. My pool gate is not swinging to closed The mechanism for it to lock seems to be working fine I need it to close consistently for safety if children are here - Due date: Flexible

Pool gate closer has lost the dampening mechanism and slams shut. In floor closer is rusted and need replacing. I can send photos. This task is for an experienced pool fencing specialist only. It is not a handyman task.

The 2 gates don’t automatically close or.latch themselves.. Not sure if gate latches need replacing.or gates rehung. The fence is about 35 years old ,it has some rust at the joins on the bottom but the fence is still quite sturdy.. - Due date: Flexible

My 2 pool gates close well from 10" open but the pool compliance inspector wants them to slam shut from 2' open so the hinges will probably need replacing to get sufficient spring. Please check the pics to see what's currently there. Maybe they can be tightened/adjusted, not sure.
