I am replacing my old rangehood with a new one that has a shorter height than the previous one. As such, the cupboard above needs to be modified to accommodate it. This is in an apartment so it’s a recirculating rangehood with no ducting. The rangehood is a plug in one. The previous rangehood was 180mm in height while this one is 175mm. I am unsure if the check valve seen in the picture needs to be included in the install. I can assist on the day if needed
