You’ll need a professional reverse car camera installation for the unit to work effectively. Fortunately, thanks to technology advancement, you can get yours installed by a mobile mechanic without having to leave your home. Here’s what you can expect during your car camera installation:
Step 1: Install the camera in the best position
Most cameras are designed to attach to your number plate, but your installer will determine the correct placement for your type of vehicle to ensure maximum visibility. For larger cars or commercial vehicles, they may need to attach the camera in a higher position to give you the visibility you need.
Step 2: Connect the power supply
Minor electrical work is completed to connect the camera to the power source, usually the wires powering your rear tail lights. Once the installation is completed, your camera will activate when you select reverse gear.
Step 3: Install the camera monitor for viewing
It’s important that your monitor is installed in a comfortable position for you to view images safely while reversing as well as ensure a clear view through the windscreen. I offered this task to have my dash cam and rear cam installed. However, Engine wouldn’t start in the next morning. It was fine before the task. So I asked him to come for further check up. At the beginning he seemed to be willing to come saying he would come next week. But afterwards he went missing and not answering calls and not replying message. I found him dishonest and irresponsible, I wouldn’t recommend and one star might be too high.
