Step 1: Install the camera in the best position
Most cameras are designed to attach to your number plate, but your installer will determine the correct placement for your type of vehicle to ensure maximum visibility. Step 2: Connect the power supply
Minor electrical work is completed to connect the camera to the power source, usually the wires powering your rear tail lights. Once the installation is completed, your camera will activate when you select reverse gear.
Step 3: Install the camera monitor for viewing
It’s important that your monitor is installed in a comfortable position for you to view images safely while reversing as well as ensure a clear view through the windscreen. I need a dashcam with reversing camera installed on my 2015 Mazda 2. Connection from 12v socket is fine, hardwiring is not required. The package has the dashcam with screen, reversing camera , clamps and connecting cables etc. Please see the pictures for details.
Sonny was very patient with my dashcam and reversing camera install. He took great care with the connections and made sure the wiring was concealed properly. He even cleared the mess of an older wiring that was actually blocking one of the airbags. Highly recommended.
