Inspection Results: Upon inspection we found moisture across the bathroom floor, lifting sealants, floor & wall separation, wall & wall separation, suspect tiles glued on top of tiles, suspect tiles glued on top of tiles, suspect tiles glued on top of tiles, missing grout around waste/drain section, we suspect cracked grout lines under the shower screen, overall the above-listed issues are allowing water to penetrate below the surface of the tiles, as there is moisture outside the shower area we can presume that the waterproofing membrane beneath the tiles has failed. Therefore, the entire shower and bathroom have been tiled over the top of existing tiles, so it may be difficult to seal. The entire shower may need to be re-waterproofed and tiled in line with Australian standards, fixing any damages if found at the same time.
