Find experienced local seamstresses in Southbank

I heed a seamstress with hand sewing skills to assist me at an awards night at crown, minor alterations to look great for the Blue Carpet.

Description: I’m looking for an experienced seamstress/tailor to create custom tablecloths using fabric that I will provide. These need to be completed by Friday. Here are the sizes and quantities required: 12 pieces: 122 cm x 50 cm (+ 2 cm extra per side for hemming) 8 pieces: 164 cm x 50 cm (+ 2 cm extra per side for hemming) 8 pieces: 20 cm x 20 cm (+ 2 cm extra per side for hemming) 2 pieces: 140 cm x 20 cm (+ 2 cm extra per side for hemming) Hemming: I’ve calculated an additional 2 cm on each side to allow for a clean, professional hem. I’d like a neat and elegant stitch, preferably in the same blue color as the fabric, to maintain a refined and cohesive look. I recently bought a sewing machine but not good at using it yet. I need someone to come for 2hrs to show me some basic way of using the sewing machine like which needle to use, how to hange it and show me how best to alter some of the cloths and actually alter some of the cloths I have..... etc

I have a dress made of a great kimono fabric. I'd like it to be undone and remade into an ankle - length skirt, copying another skirt I will provide which is a very simple design with side splits to knee and a rear zip. Tasker to pickup the fabric and example skirt from Southbank and drop back on completion. Please also provide the zip. With any leftover material, please make a throw cushion. I will give you an old pillow to get the stuffing from. Looking for someone with sewing experience! Amount accounts for the Airtasker fee.

As I have low vision, one of the things I can’t do is sew buttons onto clothing. I have a pair of shorts that has a button on it which is very loose and so close to coming off. If there’s anyone out there that would be able to help, that would be amazing. - Due date: Flexible
