Hi. I am wanting to add some sound barrier to a bedroom wall. It is adjoining to another bedroom and normal talking can be heard between the walls. I am open to suggestions, but I am willing to remove the plaster, add in sound isolation batts, and replaster. We have 3 meeting rooms that need soundproofing. The job largely entails plugging gaps where the walls meet the ceiling and around the doors with soundproofing material to prevent sound bleeding between the rooms. We may need to look at affixing a false ceiling / soundproofing in the boardroom to enhance meeting participants experience and elevate professionalism. Noises from the upper floor can be disruptive during meetings and make it difficult for people online in particular to hear.

Looking to soundproof 1 x bedroom of a one bedroom flat. The room is 3.5m x 4.5m and has one window which I’d consider replacing with insulation. The room also has hard surfaces - the building which is mirrored. There is a door which could be sound proofed. The walls are hollow double brick rendered - 1966 build. Ceiling - no one above - empty cavity then tiled roof. The major noise is coming from downstairs mostly from tv echoing and hard wooden floor surfaces below. Hi Carpenters, Handymen I have a 2-bedroom flat with a wall between the bedrooms; one is the nursery where my newborn baby sleeps. This wall has a large metal-framed window and a glass door. I don’t have budget to shut the window and the door frame and extend the wall, so I’d like to put lining panels (ideally with some level of soundproofing) to cover the window and door on both sides of the wall. It’ll require removing / reattaching skirting board for proper finishing. I’ll provide lining panels (probably VJ100 or similar, looking at options). Looking for experience doing these types of jobs, a reasonable price and attention to detail. Not urgent, flexible with dates.

I live on the lower level of an older house and need some level of soundproofing between them. I dont think there is any insulation between the floors and when the occupants and their cats move, its quite loud. I need an inspection and quote for a range of options I might have to increase the soundproofing, balancing cost and quality. I've put a budget of $500 for now because I have no reference point for what this might cost and am willing to pay more for the right service.
