The in cord switch turns the lamp on but then it flashes off. If I squeeze the switch, the light comes back on. I can feel a mild current when I touch the cord or switch. I would like to be able to use it safely. I am unsure if the lamp needs to be completely rewired or not.

Hello! So I bought this curve portable lamp from Freedom a few years ago. I was trying to tighten the lamp-shade (which was connected to the wiring), but instead it fell off because some plastic holder that kept it tight was broken. Before it fell, there was a smoke indicating some electric misconduct happened. Afterwards I found the whole thing was busted because the wiring was separated. I can negotiate for the right price. I'm willing to pay at least $50, but not more than a reasonable price. Please check the photo.
