I have bought a few things from the op shop that I want to change and/or make other clothes from, but I'm not sure how. I have a sewing machine but I'm not sure if I have the right needles and equipment etc. I recently did a beginners sewing class so I know some basic sewing skills, but I just don't know how to make these adjustments to my clothes. The adjustments include adding extra material to make them longer, taking in the waist, making a skirt from a dress etc. Some of the material is stretchy, chiffon, and some is denim. I can come to you (in/around Geelong or Melbourne), or you can come to mine in Hamlyn Heights or Carlton. I want to learn so I can do it to future pieces, too. Hopefully we can have some fun! :)

I have a large amount of sunglasses cases for my brand I need sewn. It’s a thick leather type material. The cases were giving me issues so I decided to sew them all to prevent any issues I will show you in photos what’s happening and in the red line is where it needs to be sewn. I have had a few sewn and it literally took 40 seconds a case and that’s extra time. I watched it. I think you need a walking foot and a different type of needle but anyway I have a bunch and it would be ongoing work until they’re all gradually done, I just need them bit by bit Thanks so much I hope you can help

My bodysuit zipper got caught and now has a hole the size of a 5 cent coin. There’s also a really tiny hole just above it, even tinier, but need them sewn back together. I’m unsure of how much this would be, so if I am way off please feel free to let me know ☺️
