The window Venetian blinds open and close is not working, we can wind up and down, as shown in the picture below. 2 window blinds need a repair, below picture is for 1 window. Both windows have the same problem.

One window with 3 sections (less than 1m) need venetian blinds installed. I have the blinds, they have been cut and are ready to hang. I have screws and plates, just not a drill or a spare set of hands.

The front room has timber venetian blinds on all windows. The largest of these has a fault, which means when I pull the string to angle the blinds (open / closed) nothing happens, and the blinds don't change their angle. There's a small plastic wheel or cog in the casing at the top of the blind which this string would normally spin, and it the wheel seems to have stripped its gears. We are loathe to replace the whole blind because of a faulty small plastic wheel mechanism. Does anyone know how to fix? - Due date: Flexible

I've measured and bought the blinds. Issue is I want them installed inside the window frame but there is a metal bracket under the plaster that I don't have the right tools or screws and know how... to get through. Should be a quick and easy job for someone who knows what they're doing and can get creative to screw the new bracket through the metal L frame under the plaster.
