I need to replace all weatherboards along the long side of an Edwardian single storey in Preston and would like fibre cement replacement, improved insulation and painting to match the rest of the house (it's a single colour). The side of the house that's being done has some items on or close to the weatherboard (eg water tank) which will make it a bigger job. There may be some carpentry required around sash windows though there are currently no issues - but sanding and repainting at the same time seems sensible. The task is to inspect and measure the area and provide me with all the information that can be used for quotes - this will probably be in the form of a detailed scope of work (labour, materials) and maybe a quote from the Tasker. The Tasker may also be required to do some quick fixes with loose boards during the inspection/ scope of work if there are any issues with weather ingress. Our old house, weatherboard/Californian bungalow was recently restumped. However, dog can get under the house at the front and both left and right side. We need front and both sides of house ecured with timber, maybe even treated pine will do, or flexible with what you suggest.
