What do wedding videographer services include?
Creating a beautiful and unforgettable wedding video starts with picking a good wedding videographer. Airtasker makes it easy for you to find the top-rated videographers who will work with you to capture, edit, and create a breathtaking time capsule of your big day.
In general, you can expect a Tasker to provide the following as part of their wedding videography services:
Providing the video equipmentÂ
The Tasker will provide the cameras, tripods, cables, microphones, and other equipment necessary to capture your big day. They may own the equipment themselves or rent them - and this may affect their rates.Â
Creating the video treatment
The video treatment is a guide for the production of your wedding video. This can include whether you want a cinematic-style wedding video or a documentary-like treatment. The video treatment also covers the storyline, colours, music choice, and live audio (if live audio will be used).Â
For example, you and the Tasker may decide to open the video with a narration of your love story, followed by shots of you getting ready on the day itself. Some videographers may recommend against using live audio, while you may prefer to hear your vows again whenever you watch your wedding video. Weddings with several rituals, such as Asian weddings, may require you to orient your videographer, so they know what moments to focus on. (Or, you could tailor your task post and limit it to videographers who have covered weddings like yours.)
If you’re having a destination wedding, let the Tasker know, so they can bring a second shooter to shoot footage of the area or allow extra time to capture your wedding venue during its most beautiful moments.Â
Shooting the raw footage
On the day itself, the videographer shoots the raw footage. Depending on the package you get, this may start with you and your wedding party getting your hair and makeup done, guests arriving at the venue, the actual ceremony, the reception or the afterparty.Â
More affordable packages may limit coverage to just the ceremony and reception. In contrast, whole-day or unlimited time packages assure you that the Tasker will capture just about every moment of your big day.
Editing the wedding videoÂ
This starts with the Tasker backing up the footage and assembling the clips. If live audio is used, they’ll sync this with the video. Otherwise, they’ll lay out the music tracks, making sure that the song’s climax matches with the most dramatic moments of your wedding day. Then, they’ll create a rough cut. They may present this rough cut to you for approval before coming up with the final cut. Once your wedding videographer is happy with the final cut, they’ll colour-grade and export the video for you to enjoy and share with your loved ones.

Wedding Videographer
$1,000
Blackheath NSW, Australia
26th Oct 2022
Reposted for second videographer. We're looking for a videographer to document a wedding at Blackheath on 5/11/22. You'll need to be on site from approximately 1pm to 10pm, with ceremony at 3pm and reception at 5pm. We're most interested in documenting the event (rather than a heavily edited cut), so you should provide all unedited footage at the end of day, either uploaded to Google Drive (or similar) or physically on USB storage (We'll pay reasonable costs of the physical media) . In saying that, if you can provide a quick highlight cut (~2-3 minutes) within a few days of the event that would be a plus. You must play nice with another videographer and a photographer, coordinate so that you're not getting in eachothers way. Please let us know what equipment you'll be shooting with, high bit rate footage at 4K60 on pro equipment is preferred. It's private property with great views overlooking the national park, so it could be cool to have drone shots if that's something you're able to do. - Due date: Needs to be done on Saturday, 5 November 2022 - Due date: Needs to be done on Saturday, 5 November 2022
