We have an old sash and cord window however when we renovated the house we never repaired this. Needs to become operational again. Ideally if someone can do tomorrow as it’s and airbnb and guests complaining it’s hot! No problem if not but would love a fly screen too.

I have three double-hung sash windows with flyscreens attached to the bottom window. They all seem to have whitco type spring balances fitted. They are all dropping (won't stay up). I can see where the balance is fitted on the upper frame but can't see where it is fitted to the lower window.
