I have an old wooden side gate that needs replacing - 1800 x 900 mm I have ordered a new wooden gate that needs installing with a lock - it may need a small bit of plaining to fit. Optional to quote painting it in monument

The old wooden fence needs repair, most urgently a section of it that has fallen over in the recent high winds. The fence is just temporary and needs to be made safe for now. The whole fence will need to be replaced soon (but not right now). Will need you to source/supply wooden struts and fixings (not included in the labour price, will pay for those separately). The wooden fence runs the length of the property along the laneway that provides rear lane access to garages for the row of terraces. Some posts are damaged from large vehicles driving down the laneway and others are loose where the nails have popped out. In addition, the fence cap at the top has lifted a little and needs to be secured. There's the possibility that some posts are rotten from the severe weather. Essentially, I'm not experienced with fences and need a fence repairer to come and look at the fence, provide advice/guidance on what needs to be repaired and/or replaced and negotiate price accordingly.
