What customer service do fencing contractors provide?
Fencing services include installing, repairing, and replacing a fence. Fencing contractors can perform any fencing task, be it building a fence from scratch or removing your existing fence. Get any fencing task done on our platform like pool fences, old fencing, or front yard fencing services. There's a huge range of fencing services you can request on Airtasker.Â
Fence installation prepÂ
Getting your fence installed includes surveying your boundary fence line and planning fence placement. This step entails measuring and marking out the fenced area. Fencing specialists can also help you choose the best type of fence based on your fencing requirements.Â
Some popular fencing options include wood fencing, Colorbond fencing, and chain wire. If you need to remove a tree obstructing the site, the best fencing contractors can help with that as well. As for your sourcing needs, delivery Taskers can pick up and deliver your fence panels to you.Â
Fence installationÂ
Whether it's garden fencing, pool fencing pet fencing, or even temporary fencing, the construction starts with putting up the end posts and corner posts. Typically, a fence erector digs up post holes and uses concrete to set the posts. Once the fence posts are set, your fence fitter will then put up the fence panels. Â
Your fence should work in harmony with the landscaping. For instance, you’d want to avoid growing vines that could damage your fence. A landscaper can advise you on your landscaping decisions so that you can avoid costly mistakes. Both fencing and garden services are available on our platform. Taskers can even assemble your outdoor furniture if you’re setting up a cosy deck in your garden. Â
Fence repairÂ
Fence repair is a cheaper and faster alternative to a total fence replacement. Methods for fence repair vary depending on the damage. To fix a rotted wood fence, fencing specialists may remove the affected panels and replace them with new ones. Â
If your fence posts are loose due to soil erosion, fencing specialists may use soil or gravel backfill to steady the posts. Attach a photo to your task or schedule an on-site inspection. As an additional customer service, fencing contractors can assess your fence and recommend suitable solutions.Â
Fence painting
Fence painting services are a great solution if your fence is looking tired or if you simply want to change the colour of your fence. Hire a Tasker to freshen up your fence with spray paint or touch-up paint. You can also avail of staining customer service to protect your wooden fence from moisture and bring out the wood’s natural beauty.Â
Fence staining
There are two different ways to stain a fence, and one of them is by using a paint roller, which is ideal if you’re not in a rush. Staining a wood fence with a roller may involve other materials such as a paint tray, a paintbrush, and rags. Your Tasker will use the roller to cover your fence with the stain and apply one to two coats.Â
Using a sprayer to stain a fence can take less time. Just like when using a roller, the Tasker should use the right materials to protect the area around your fence from overspray. They will then pour the stain into a sprayer and cover your fence with it. The duration will depend on the size and type of your fence, but the process can take several hours to several days.
Once they’re finished, they will inspect the fence, clear the surrounding area, and pack up their equipment. All you need to do is wait for the fence to dry completely. If having your fence stained using a roller doesn’t seem like the right fit for you, don’t worry because there is another available option.
Fence removalÂ
If your fence is beyond repair, or you’re looking to replace your chicken wire with a nicer fence, a fence removal Tasker can help. Fences provide safety, but they can also trap wildlife in a wooded lot. In such cases, you may be better off removing your fence.Â
Whichever your reason for fence removal, a fencing contractor can tear down that fence you’ve always wanted to get rid of. Leave the strenuous tasks to your fencing contractor, from digging out your fence posts to taking the rubbish to the tip.Â

Replace a Broken Pool Fence in Bulimba. The dimensions are: 200 x 1000 x 10mm clear toughened safety glass. I would require you to: 1) Go to property to assess and measure what materials are required. I believe that the hardware is still intact. 2) Pick up from Bunnings the required materials (I think that this is correct size): https://www.bunnings.com.au/protectoral-1000-x-1200-x-8mm-glass-pool-gate_p0389557 3) Install the pool gate. I have budgeted $450 for your time and labour, and will reimburse you for the cost of materials from Bunnings.
Bit of abestos fence safely removed (approx. 1.07m tall x 4.5m wide)
$350
West End QLD, Australia
13th Dec 2024
We have three panels of fencing in the backyard that I think are abestos. One side has been sealed/painted. It's falling apart and away from the fence posts and I'd like it safely removed. Think it's under the 10sqm limit but would still need to be wrapped in thick plastic, etc. and want done properly. Tried to show in pictures but can take more if required. If you could also take away the rotted wooden posts and the standalone metal sheet, that'd be great too (don't think that one is abestos).
Very efficient and knowledgeable about the council requirements and task. Thank you, Klaus!

Glass Pool fencing repair
$500
Hawthorne QLD, Australia
30th Nov 2024
We have glass pool fencing supported by powder coated posts on a wooden deck. Job 1 - a glass panel has shifted away from one of the posts, causing the gate to sag. The glass needs to be removed, panel replumbed to be vertical and glass reinstalled / glued etc. Job 2 - There is also a second gate that’s not closing well. The gate hits the latch. My guess is easier repair than job 1. Job 3 - one other panel is coming away from a post. More minor fix than job 1. Photos in order of jobs above. Need contractor with demonstrated experience in similar repair jobs for pool fences, ideally glass panels.
Awesome job, punctual friendly and great skill. Thank you!
Bricklaying: Rebuild section of brick fence
$5
Brisbane CBD QLD 4000, Australia
27th Nov 2024
I estimate this is one to one and a half days work. The fence was damaged by some palms that were leaning up against it. The front section needsnto be knocked down and rebuilt from the footing to full height. The fence is apx 5ft high × 4m long. There is a return on the wall which is in good condition. The repair needs to integrate into the existing corner. The footing looks OK but needs to be verified. Section of fence ends in a pier for a gate. Happy to negotiate in price - will need a visit to quote. Price includes materials.
Build privacy screen in same style as existing fence
$500
Windsor QLD, Australia
25th Nov 2024
Hello. We’d like to build a privacy screen across the pool filter as shown in photos. The screen will be made of treated pine (2.1m lengths) and to be at the same height as existing fence. Concreted posts in and palings on rails. Please include time and materials.
Stephen helped us out with a fence and checked in along the way to ensure we were happy. Highly recommend!
Thin concrete slab laid for pool fence
$5
Ascot QLD 4007, Australia
19th Nov 2024
Wanting someone to dig out a trench to then pour concrete into it suitable for a pool fence to be built on top of (which I’ll do). Slab would need to be 6.3m long and 20cm wide. Depth would just need to be deep enough to be suitable for a glass pool fence to be installed on(approx 20cm), possibly with some reinforcement in it if needed. Finished concrete would need to be level and the same height as the grass either side and nice and flat on top suitable for tiles to be laid onto it. Ground is relatively flat at the moment.
Brayden was great to work with and did an excellent job
New fence palings (on to existing fence on neighbours side)
$500
Windsor QLD, Australia
30th Aug 2024
We have an existing fence down one side of our house but the palings are on the neighbours side. We want new palings on our side. So we need to get railings and new palings installed on our side. The fence will require two different heights due to the small concrete retaining wall down part of the fence line. 1.8m = roughly 8-9metres 2.4m = roughly 7.2metres We can buy everything and have it delivered to the house if you can provide a list.
Mark was amazing! Very meticulous :)
Paint Front Fence
$350
Norman Park QLD 4170, Australia
18th Aug 2024
We need our front fence painted. The fence has 80% of first coat done. I want 2 more coats with enough time between to dry completely (do over a couple of days maybe?) I don't want the stainless latch painted at all but the hinges can be as was done on 1st coat. I expect a good and detailed job, making sure you get into every corner and joint properly, including in and around the metal gate frame. I will provide paint. You to need to provide tools/brush etc. You will need to wipe down and clean all the dirt off the fence first. A sheet or cardboard will need to be used to not spill onto the concrete. There is no grass in yet and just dirt, so use a sheet or something at the bottom to stop dirt being dragged in. I expect you to do under the bottom rail properly and all the way down the rails to ground.
Highly recommend Simon. Did a great job painting our front fence. On time and clear comms. Cheers!
