We need the cross rails of a timber picket fence replaced. When it was built, the wrong type of timber was used for the cross rails (that the pickets screw into) and the rails are rotting away. The job would entail taking off the palings, taking off the rotten rails, screwing the new ones and replacing the palings. The paling and vertical posts are of appropriate timber and don’t need replacing (a couple might for other reasons). The perimeter fence is of a one acre block; however, not all rails need replacing immediately and it could be done over time (although would not want it to go on forever). Will pay cash and can reimburse for materials or make arrangements. Looking for a quote.

Construct a 20m timber picket fence. Approx 1.8m high

Remove old picket fence including disposing of materials and build a similar picket fence including gate with materials to be supplied by you. Total length is approximately 9m (fence of circa 8m and gate of circa 1m). Height is currently 1.1m and looking for the replacement to be of a similar height or slightly lower. Add single post immediately to right of driveway and add new section of picket fence (approx three metres) between this new post and existing post on fence line between ours and neighbour’s yards (there was previously a fence here; the end post was not removed and can be reused). Install at top of driveway a double gate (approx 3 metres) with latch. Nothing extravagant, can custom-build if you prefer. Picket palings on gate to match fence. Existing palings in picture will already be removed so their removal and disposal is not part of the job. Paint existing fence rails white. Supply and install new inexpensive 1.2m high palings across entire front (fences and gate - approx 15 metres total). Existing gap left for entry via steps. All existing and new rails, posts and palings to be painted white, both interior and exterior facing.

Essentially I just require someone to saw a piece of the gate off and attach hinges and a lock, to that piece, so that it turns into a gate opening.
