I need help digging out some soil so I can install a retaining wall. The soil can be used and does not need to be removed from site. Budget is for my estimate of 3 hours work required, but am happy to pay for up to 5 hours if the job is bigger than I think ($75 hour). Soil is currently damp and easy to dig though the bottom layer may be clay and heavy. I only need help with the digging at this stage. Needs to be done on the weekend (this one or next). Early start to beat heat fine.

Hi Taskers! We are looking to have 2 brick retaining walls built along the fence line in our front courtyard. The longer of the 2 walls is approx. 4.5m and the small one approx. 1.5m. The photos show a red outline where the wall is needed. We have the bricks and the wall will be 4 bricks high, 3 large and 1 flat one on top. We are looking for someone experienced who has done this type of work before and who has the necessary tools and brick adhesive to ensure the wall is professionally built. We are flexible on times but would love to have this done in the next week or two. Thanks!

I require limestone retaining walls (reconstituted) for the front of my property. Front consists of 11.5m length x 600m (front of house) + 4m length x 600mm (side of house), + 5.3m length by 450 mm (otherside of house). Limestone wall to sit on concrete footing.

Build a retaining wall L shaped as shown in the picture. Total lenght of the wall is less than 6m and the height is less than 1m. Will need approximately 4 to 5 posts. I'm flexible with the type of sleepers and posts to use and also happy with whoever sources the raw materials. If it suits better I can have everything preordered and will need the person to pick up before starting.

Hi i am trying to install gabion wall baskets in the backyard. They will go infront of an existing timber fence. The total length of backyard to cover is 25meters approx. What i need help with: I need to dig out a small trench that is 200mm wide and roughly 200mm deep and compacted as much as we can. Then i can either install the gabion cages myself or if you want to help with that as well it would be good. Please see example photos of what i want

5 cubic metres of freshly delivered soil that's been dumped right at the beginning of one end of the 600mm high and 11 m long retaining wall needs to be filled in behind the retaining wall. The soil is fresh and loose and very easy to shovel around.

Retaining wall has been recently painted. Three decorative screens (plastic) were previously on this same wall and were removed for the new paint job. Some holes exist but some have been covered with paint / difficult to find. Job requires installing the 4 decorative screens (2 large, 2 small) - screws and Alan key provided. It is possible a drill may be needed but keep in mind original holes should be there.

I’d like to put a door way through a current wall. It a load bearing wall. We just need the beam removed and to make sure the arch is distributing weight correctly. We do not need it re plastered just the hole :) Space will be cleared out for you to work. Electrical cords will be removed prior to start of work

Supply all labour and materials to: a. Remove existing 100x50 treated pine at the top of retaining wall and replace with new timber. b. Install two vertical treated pine braces at the back of each panel of fence with 100x75mm sleepers bolted in for strength. c. Re bolt fence posts to the retaining wall

Need a quote for Material plus Labour for sleeper timber retaining wall, length is 15m and max height is 600mm. From the picture, it will be after my neighbors garage until the end.

The job is 9x3m. Need someone who can dig 2-3 holes a little bit deeper and has preferably an auger. Also, on the 3m side needs to be dug a little more to level the sleeper height, so it comes to same height as concrete next to it. Then just need to cement the beams in so we can slide the sleepers in place. All materials are here and paid for. I have all sleepers + six bags of rapid set concrete. The job was started by a tradesman who has since left it and won’t return my calls or money.
