Alteration tailor near you
Most tailoring work includes altering a garment to fit you better. If you plan to get an off-the-rack item and take it to clothing alterations near you, it’s best to choose a size that fits the widest point of your body. From there, your local tailor will take in or cinch the rest of the item. Tailors can also make sleeves or pant legs slimmer, adjust the straps and bust darts of a dress, shorten the sleeves of a shirt, add the lining, and add buttons or hook-and-eye clasps.
On the other hand, a tailor cannot make a garment bigger or longer. They also can’t fix a bad shoulder fit on a jacket or coat. Also, it is inadvisable to let out the stitches in fabrics like linen, cotton, and silk, since holes will show.

The sewer thought it was an error and made both legs the same. So I require someone to unpick the right leg of both pants and make right leg wider as was originally wanted.

Just bought a campervan and I’m looking for someone good with a sewing machine who can make me some curtains to fit in the van.
