Seeking rates/estimates from a Gold Coast area mechanic who can transplant a working used engine from a scrap van into a campervan with broken engine. I have recently seen '00-'06 Ford Transit Mk6 LWB RWD 2.4TD van's for sale that are compatible candidates for 'repair' and 'donor'. The asking price total for both vans is cheaper than quotes for a used engine only I've received. I don't have hoise/tools/skills/space for a heavy engine swap but can DIY the rest of the project until roadworthy. I would (or you might) arrange for both vans be driven or towed to the workshop, and once the 'repaired' van can drive away on new motor, the donor will be taken to a scrapyard. Adding a $1k placeholder task budget until I receive indicative quotes from commercial mechanics, or experienced home mechanics with time and access to equipment.

Potentially the only issue with the zip is it's missing the small metal part on one side of the zip that you insert into the main part of the zip before zipping it up, but I'll be guided by you as to what needs replacing.
