I'd like to get a one bedroom flat in London (SW12) painted throughout and I'm looking to get a quote for painting the walls, ceilings, skirting and doorframes. Window seals are rotten on my bay window they need to be replaced and painted all white as does the window frames inside and out.

Clean all walls, skirting boards, and ceilings with sugar soap, fill any cracks or holes with filler and sand down, and redecorate all ceilings, walls, woodwork, and windows with client-supplied paints. There are three bedrooms, one sitting room, and one hallway. One wall in the largest bedroom needs wallpaper removed, made good, and redecorated in the same style as the rest of the flat. The bathroom and kitchen are excluded from this work. The flat has tenants living in it, so working in harmony with them will be necessary. They will be instructed to make it as easy as possible for the tradesmen to complete this task. I will provide white emulsion for the ceilings, Dulux White Chiffon emulsion for all walls, and Johnson’s white eggshell (oil-based) for the metal windows, woodwork, and door frames.

Painting a living room in a one-bed flat

The Task is to (professionally) paint 4 internal glazed wooden (primed) doors (and certain areas of the metal door frames). As you can see from the image, there is more glass than there is door, so care will need to be taken (especially with regards to the finish). Preparation will be necessary (laying of dust sheets, protection of glass panes with masking tape etc.) I already have (5 ltrs of Dulux Quick Dry Mid Sheen Satinwood Pure Brilliant White) paint, masking tape and dust sheets. Small Hallway Job: Skirting boards need replacing (white), walls are marked and have nails in, need taking out and filling (ideally painting but not essential for this job). Some sanding down probably needed on door frames and maybe walls. Long term carpet will be replaced so no drama if there's a bit of mess on floor.
