Starter motor changed, new battery put in, still not starting

Engine management light and glow plug light on in my 2011 2 litre Passat

car has been standing for 4 months although it was started and run every now and again.. It seemed ok to start with then was flat so i charged it and couple of days later flat agin . Go Alfords to fit new one but 3 days later flat again. Its a Lexus S 2000 D reg GY08 YDA. Have checked the obviouse but there is nothing i can see.It seems to be charging when running around but draining on my drive

I already installed a reverse camera on a bmw 1 series and it works in ignition but not with the engine on and I found out that this was because the voltage supplied when the engine in turned on drops from 12v to 9v and that i needed to take the current directly from the battery instead of the reverse light using a relay but when i tried it still didnt work and I was wondering of I can get help with just the wiring and possibly a relay and how much it might be? - Due date: Flexible
