Hi! I need help installing a backdraft (vent that automatically opens and closes) on the exterior of my flat. This is to prevent cold air from entering the flat in the winter through the vent. I have the vent, just need help with the installation. It's quite high up - on the second floor, so would require a very tall ladder or the ropes/equipment to go out on the window ledge secured, as it could be reached that way. I think removing the window would be the safest option but I don't know if that's possible. Then it would be very easy to reach. Happy to send more information or photos/videos before you come here.

My front door has a big gap between it and the floor and I believe it could potentially allow in pests / draught and debris from outside. I want it to be filled in. I bought a draught excluder but it is too long to fit.

Tenant has reported drafty windows. Can you attend and install some draft excluders please. Yes! the windows are in poor shape, but the landlord is not seeking to replace them for whatever reason, only reduce the draft where possible.

Large gaps at the top, bottom and side of the front door letting in cold air drafts. Supply and fit draft excluders. Assuming 2 hours at £50 per hour plus £20 for materials.

The hob is to go into a pre-cut quartz worktop. It needs to be vented directly out through standard brick and block wall so will need a 150mm hole drilling through the wall. There is easy access inside and out. Already have the necessary ducting - Due date: Before Saturday, 11 November 2023

I am managing a property where there is draft going into the property through the main door gap, i would like someone to attach a draft excluder on the door - Due date: Flexible

I have a bedroom door lock which needs replacing-so you must have an impact. The wood in the door may need to be cut back a bit, so please make sure you have a cutting drill head whether flat wood or spade bit too to make this work. The situation is currently that the latch bolt and deadbolt are not catching onto the strike plate bolt in the door properly, and so the door doesn’t stay closed properly. * Second job is replacing the timer on an Worcester MT10 boiler (the boiler and part are shown in the picture.) * And the final job is to sort out the draft on 3 windows. One of the windows is letting in a slight draft, I intend to arrange a window stripping seal or something similar, but I think you should be knowledgeable about this stuff and any better suggestion you may have I am willing to listen. I work in construction myself so I have an idea of how much to charge for a job that (I’m assuming) shouldn’t take more than an hour, but the price is negotiable I guess as I want to have someone ideally do everything tonight around 6/7pm. I am also happy to add a bonus so that what you will receive does not leave you out of pocket with Airtasker’s fees. Please please no cowboys!
