While I was cycling, the pedal-assist electric function suddenly stopped working and the back of the bike felt very heavy. I dismounted and discovered that the rear pannier rack had disconnected from behind the saddle and fallen backwards so it was hanging down diagonally over the back wheel. The rear pannier rack holds the battery pack so it fell backwards with a significant weight. The electrical wiring running between the battery pack and the rest of the bike had been ripped apart by this force, meaning that the bike's electrical functions don't work (battery control panel on the handlebars, lights, pedal assist e-bike function). I then noticed that there were no screws where there should have been to secure the rear pannier rack to the rest of the bike. I need a repair quote for insurance purposes. - Due date: Needs to be done on Saturday, 5 August 2023
